Once you have registered and validated your experience voucher our bookings team who will be in touch to arrange your booking and answer any questions you may have. Alternatively, you can call us on 03300 101851 to get booked in. (Lines are open 9:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays)

1. Who is the experience provider?

Portrait Appointments represent the UK’s leading network of portrait photography studios with a network of franchised and independent photographers across the country.

We have been the nation’s photographer of choice since the 1850s and offer a friendly service combined with beautiful, modern, relaxed photographs.

Our commitment to providing the highest quality photographs and customer service means that we are the recommended photographers for many national companies including Emma’s Diary, Activity Superstore and many other national and local businesses.

2. Can we choose the studio we want to go to?

Yes of course. When a member of our bookings team calls you, they will determine where you are located, and therefore which of our studios are the closest to you or your chosen area where you would like your session to take place.

3. Why do we have to pay a refundable booking deposit?

This is required in some circumstances where a peak or specialist appointment slot is required.

As we’re sure you can appreciate, we are extremely busy at these times so therefore need to ensure that our studio and photographer time is protected.

Any deposit taken is fully refundable at the end of your viewing appointment.

4. Can we decide who takes part in the photography experience?

Yes of course, however it is very important to review any terms and conditions just to ensure that you understand what your voucher entitles you to, and that you make the most out of the opportunity that you have been given.

5. What will happen at my photography experience?

Rest assured we will guide you through the entire process from booking right up to collection of your chosen portraits so please do not worry.

We will ask you a few questions at the start about what you have been thinking about getting from the shoot, your taste preferences and what you would like to achieve.

The more that we know about what you like and what you are looking for, the easier it is for us to fulfill that. For many people a photography session is a fairly infrequent event and we want to make sure that you get the best from your experience.

6. When will I get to see my images?

We will arrange your personalised viewing appointment for you after your shoot so please do bring your diaries.

It is our intention to get everyone involved in the shoot back for the viewing, however sometimes it is preferable not to bring younger children as they tend to get bored.

If bringing everyone back is problematic for any reason or you are traveling a long distance and would prefer a same day viewing, then we can certainly try to arrange this for you in advance.

7. What is covered by my voucher?

Your voucher covers your costs for the shoot, viewing appointment and any included gift. Realistically you are probably going to love the images and want to purchase some portraits from the session.

This goes back to the discussion we will have when you arrive about what you are looking for – the more we know about what you want the better placed we will be to achieve that for you. We will explain to you before the shoot how (if applicable) your voucher can be used as credit against any purchases and give you a good indication as to what the range of costs are.

We have a price list which starts from £85 and goes up to over £1000 so there will be something suitable for your budget. Before your viewing we like you to have an idea of what you are looking to achieve, know you are happy with the images and have an idea of product pricing so you can consider all the options.

Flexible payment plans are also available at most studios (terms and conditions apply).
